Dr. Lee Bolt

Dr. Lee Bolt graduated from the University of Idaho and Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He served in the U.S. Army, performing infectious disease research and was honorably discharged. He has been a small and exotic animal veterinarian practicing in Asheville since 1992. He also is dedicated to wildlife and zoological animal medicine and surgery. This has included positions as staff veterinarian at, The Blue Ridge Wildlife Institute at Lee's-McCrae College, in Banner Elk, North Carolina, Grandfather Mountain at Linville, North Carolina and The Western North Carolina Nature Center. Doctor Bolt is Trail Veterinarian for the “Norman Vaughan - 1925 Serum Run”, sled dog expedition. (A memorial tribute, tracing through the heart of Alaska. www.serumrun.org).

He serves on the boards of several non-profit organizations, is a published author and for more than 10 years, has instructed veterinarians in the medical applications of lasers in veterinary medicine. With this practice focus, Dr. Bolt has found therapeutic laser to enhance medical and surgical care in numerous non-traditional species.
